I utilized the writing center at my school during the regular semester but I am on summer break and the writing center at my school is closed. Any places you guys can recommend where I can go to consult my writing?

2016 words on Seven for a Secret today, for a completed submission draft, and I just sent it in.

Boys and girls, it's time for a nice glass of something bad for my liver. And a couple naproxen, because my back has just announced its feelings about me being in this chair since 7 am this morning.

Rent includes all utilities, including phone, internet, and cable. Long distance plan also included (within North America).

Would be living with one female and one male who occupies the basement. Females preferred for upstairs rooms.

It's been a productive five days. I turned in the intro for the German collection earlier today. I started my final (for now) revision to The Mermaid's Madness. Not only that, but I sent a short story out this morning. I can't remember the last time I did that.

I will still be bringing the laptop along on the trip. I'm hoping to get some more done on the book tomorrow on the drive up, assuming my brother-in-law's beagle gives me any peace in the car. And I'm sure I'll take some time over the next week to work on the book. But I won't be obsessing about it the way I would have if I hadn't stayed behind.

I haven't exactly enjoyed the past few days, but I'm feeling much less stressed, and I think I'll have a better time up north as a result. I'm looking forward to actually seeing my wife again, and being able to take my kids out in the paddleboat, or just watching them run around and play in the water.

So, any guesses what I'll forget to pack? Who knows, if someone gets it right, I might even toss out a little prize. How about a sneak preview of the first part of Stepsister Scheme? Only one guess per person, please.

From the Novels boards, here are the novel chapters with less than 3 crits listed in order of oldest to newest and grouped by month and year (month.day.year). For novels with a number of chapters posted the same day, all chapters are listed in the same entry and the number of posts to cover the group is listed. So a notation something like chapters 10-20: 5 posts means that chapters 10-20 (inclusive) were all posted on that day in 5 separate posts. Keep in mind, this is a record of actual CRITS, not of replies to a thread, so a thread may appear to have a lot of responses but still have only one crit.


NOTE TO NOVELISTS: Using numbers for the chapters (with a 0# for any chapter before 10) instead of spelling the numbers out makes keeping chapters in order a lot easier on the forums and helps make the process of creating this list go faster as well. For those novel forums where I needed this kind of organization, I've gone in and edited the topic titles.

Also, please make sure to lock posts for chapters that you do not need crits for anymore and to request the removal of a novel forum when you no longer need it. Thanks!

I'm sitting in DII chat alone, but actually working on stuff. Right now, it's the first of 2 crits, maybe more (but not holding my breath on being able to do more than 2 in a day). Then I have 7 pages left of A.C. ch.24 to revise into v4 before I can type the changes up. Finally, I'll be working on some world building stuff. I have one profile that needs to be typed and a whole list of stuff I need to work on for the current A.C. chapters. As usual, the question will be how much I can actually get done, especially with the physical crap interfering, and the weather threatening (it is that time of year for Georgia).

Later tonight, there's a LP staff meeting.

It's good to have goals. For me, it's important to have goals. Every now and then I seem to forget that and start floundering. Lately other stuff has been interfering -- it seems hard to have goals when getting out of bed is difficult. But, like I noted yesterday, there is stuff I can do by hand, I just have to do it. I need to figure out what I can do over the week and get back to weekly goals as well -- they help me set my daily goals.

Really, I know what I need to do to stay on track. I don't know why I stop doing it every now and then.

Time to get back to that crit. It's only been half-done for 2 weeks now. :P

On the list of Random Shit that pisses me off;
- The fact that I can't go to a store and buy a CD of, let's say, X-ray Dogg and Hans Zimmer's glorious Trailer music. Because apparently, those CDs are not available to regular consumers. (sad mostly because it's among the Few Musical Things On God's Green Earth I'd be Willing To Pay For)

- People who aren't going to use a new feature and WoW, and therefor start spamwhining in every thread about it. (because clearly, if they don't care, no one should care)

- The fact that there's no release date for Wrath of the Lich King. I have a storyline to plan, dammit =_=

Other than that; Didn't win the Strangethorn Vale fishing contest, cleaned the house up a bit. Will have to buy new catlitter though. Stupid AH stopped selling the wood-pellet sort, so now I'm dragging these really fucking heavy bags of clay pellets around. On the uphand; while heavy and painful to step on, those things do absorb odor well and it's easy to clean.

Spiderman 2 trailer music. Been looking for it on and off since the trailer first aired, and happened to run into it today. Wish ti was longer u_u

Due to an embarrassment of riches caused by seriously underestimating the size of the internet, we're stepping up the release schedule for the over-hiatus Shadow Unit content. Rather than twice a month, we will be posting new content twice a week, because it seemed like making everybody (including us) wait through December for the last of the content was silly and mean (in both senses of the word).

So from tonight through the middle of August, we'll be posting new content twice a week: a new scene every Thursday night and Sunday night.

Had a dream where me and two friends had to fling together an abridged version of a Shakespearish play in less than a week. And we had to do everything ourselves, provide the abridges script, be the entire cast, make the costumes, the music...

And in between that there was a lot of getting lost, running into supposedly famous people and market-folk yelling at each other.

In other semi-interesting news; Yesterday a Rogue I didn't know tried to pick my pockets in Silvermoon, but the emote got lost in my pile of channelspam. Got a whisper going "Ignoring me?" that notified me to the event, made a small mental note, and continued RPing with an ex-guildy.
A short while later, the rogue returns and goes for the pockets gain. This time, I do some frowning at my pocket and give a general swipe around my headarea because hey, this is Dai'inill, if something tugs his robes it can be anything from a squirrel to an assassin.
And Heaven forbid I 'ignore' the rogue a second time.
I get another whisper from her asking rather testily if I would like to explain how I could've possibly noticed her pickpocketing as she had a reputation of being a good thief.
ooooohkay.
Explained that I couldn't smell her reputation (she had no RP flag addon for as far as I could tell), and a hand going into a pocket close to the skin would cause some pressure to be felt. If that wasn't enough, I was a warlock, and that comes with the skill to detect some invisible shit.
Que rant about how Invisibility was for mages and ghosts and stealth was something else entirely so I couldn't possibly have noticed her at all.
Halfway through me asking what the hell it was she wanted since I was apparently wrong in not actually noticing her I got a message telling me I'm a godemoter.

uuuh what?

Watched her bounce around the general area for a while before asking beforementioned ex-guildy if she knew her and if she was always this much of an indecisive bint. Apparently no one knew her, but she was following people around.

Guess she was showing off her speshul skills in an attempt to join a guild :/

In better wow-related news; Had a cute little PUG to the Crypts yesterday before the godemoter incident. It was madness, but we only wiped once. I got to solo-aoe the hell out of those skeleton-groups at the end with the priest giving me a shield. It was fun :D

Yes, I have typed THE END in Dark Moon Seasons!!!! Soooo exciting!

Now my editor gets it. :D And I get some time to work on Belladonna Dreams and Lavender.

But the other…Diana blinked, hoping the image would go away, but it didn’t.

Doom couldn’t answer. As he stared at her, the front of the house exploded.

Power poured over them, spreading out like a deadly flood from the young man who stood in the shattered remains of the foyer, his eyes burning, and Doom did the only thing he could: he began to shoot, even as the officers around him began to scream in agony. The Horseman turned to look at him, and Doom faltered for a moment, then fired again. He clearly saw the bullet rip through the young man’s chest...and then the hole closed, and the Horseman pointed at him.

Doom felt his skin crawl, as if a hundred thousand ants had been dumped upon his hands, and looked down. Then he screamed.

The flesh on his hands was turning black and peeling away, revealing the disintegrating flesh beneath. He staggered backwards, the bloodstained gun falling from his nerveless fingers to discharge into the vehicle in front of him. The sounds of his own screaming faded from his ears, replaced with the pounding of a heart that was being slowly starved of oxygen as the blood that was supposed to flow in his veins poured from the remains of his hands. More blood began to pour from his nose as the Horseman continued to point at him, and Doom stumbled, falling to his knees in a pool of crimson.

His last coherent thought was that at least he’d tried to stop them.

parents are gone. no work sunday. going for coffee with an old friend. good times.

came to a realization that is going to shock my waterloo babes.... and don't worry it isn't bad. but boy from work... crush over. saw him today and it was just like.... ----- nothing. no crush feelings for him. he is still cute but yeah. and so another one of my intense crushes has peaked and faded... my lifetime crush on the boy next door is still there though.... saw him outside washing his car as i left for work and i always appreciate a topless him ^_^
